Campaign Update
A couple of weeks ago, we had a parish town hall to present the plan for what will be accomplished in Phase 2 of our Restoration Project. For the benefit of those who were not able to join for it, I wanted to be sure everyone had a chance to find out what we will be doing. Phase 2 will basically be accomplishing those parts of the restoration that could not be accomplished in Phase 1 for one reason or another. These include:
New confessional: replacing the confessional on the back, St. Joseph side, making it larger for folks with mobility issues.
Updated sound system: updating and enhancing our sound system so that everyone can more clearly hear all parts of the Mass.
New handrails: restoring the handrails at the front of the church which are considerably deteriorated as well as adding two new handrails alongside the high altar.
Repaving the sidewalk on North Street, which has deteriorated due to poor snow melt
New signage: adding signs to the parish buildings to better identify the rectory, parish house and adoration chapel.
New altar: replacing the main low altar (which was meant to be temporary anyway) with a new permanent, marble altar.
A big thank you again to all of those who continue to make all of this possible. We could not do all of this repair and restoration without you!
