Charity

“Both for individual members of the faithful and for the Christian community as a whole, the words of Jesus hold true: that charity is the first and greatest of the commandments: ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength…. You shall love your neighbor as yourself’(Mk 12:30-31).” — Pope Francis

Reflection:

The Greatest Commandment offers a basic examination of conscience: do you love the Lord God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength? Do you treat your neighbor with the same love and respect you desire for yourself? Do you care for your heart, soul, mind, and body in ways that give God glory?
