Ecumenism Ministry

Annunciation B.V.M. Parish is a member of the Hanover Area Council of Churches. This area of mission encourages unity and understanding within the Christian family, and reaches out to non-Christians who share with us faith in God the Father. There is a cooperative venture with other denominations to address community problems. Ecumenical Services are held for Christian Unity. The Mission for Ecumenism should also stimulate cooperative ventures in charitable, emergency relief and social justice. By their actions parishioners witness to their common faith in a gospel of love and their shared commitment to love one another as Christ has loved them and to seek that unity for which He prayed. Our parish follows the Directory of Application of Principals and Norms of Ecumenism. The Vatican’s Guidelines for Ecumenical Activity.
