The Pastor or Deacon meets with the family and the funeral home supervisor to prepare the date, time and specifics in regard to the service.

Resurrection (Funeral Choir)

Who: Volunteer Parishioners, Organist, Soloist, Choir members

What: Offering prayers, support and comfort to grieving families by providing appropriate liturgical music for funerals.

Procedure:  Informed of a parishioner’s death by the funeral home supervisor, the director notifies the organist and choir members of the date and time of the liturgy. Music is chosen, including if possible family requests by the director, who informs the organist. The clergy and choir receive the hymns for the day of the funeral. Choir members enhance the celebration by joining the congregation in resurrection music.
