Bereavement Services
Guidance is
provided to the family in the selection of the Readings, Intercessions,
Offertory Gifts and Eulogy if desired and preparation of persons to assume this
part of the liturgy.
Annunciation
B.V.M. parish provides adult Altar Servers for funeral liturgies.
A reception
following the burial or funeral Mass is an option available to families through
the Knights of Columbus in McSherrystown by the bereavement committee of the
organization.
Families are
contacted at various times throughout the grieving process to give support and
comfort during this difficult process. Masses are celebrated throughout the
month of November for all those who are now enjoying new life in the presence
of Christ. On November 2nd a special remembrance at Mass occurs for
those whose death occurred during the past year.
